Roadworks at Gatehouse Lane/ Mosham Road junction for 6 months
City of Doncaster Council have informed the council that the highway improvement works associated with the employment site off Mosham Road are expected to commence on Monday 16th February 2026, the works are expected to take approximately 30 weeks to complete. They are fully funded by the developer and include :-
- Construction of a new entrance into the employment site with visibility splays.
- A dedicated right turn lane into the site.
- A new footway from the new entrance to Gatehouse Lane.
- 2 pedestrian crossing points on Mosham Road, with pedestrian refuge islands.
- Resurfacing the carriageway.
- Street Lighting installed throughout the scheme.
- Improvement to Mosham Road / Gatehouse Lane junction, including new traffic signals.
For the first week, the works will be minimal as the contractor will be cutting back hedges etc prior to the bird nesting season, there will be temporary traffic signals in operation from 9:30 to 16:30, which will be manually controlled
Temporary traffic signals will be in operation for the remaining duration of the works which will be manually controlled from 7 am to 7pm to minimise disruption.
There will also be a temporary 30mph speed limit for the duration of the works.
Road closures will be required towards end of the scheme details of which will be provided nearer the time.
