New Parish Council Members and Election of Chair and Vice Chair
The parish council welcomed Ben Herring and Paul Swift as newly co-opted councillors, both of whom reside in the Hayfield area.
Councillors Staniforth and Dobson were elected Chairman and Vice-Chair respectively.
Litter Picks Around the Parish 2026/27
Grateful thanks are extended to the Rapid Relief Team charity for organising, as well as the volunteers who took part in a highly successful litter pick on 21 March 2026. Thank you also to the Parish Centre for use of its facilities on the day. Further litter picks are scheduled to take place on Saturdays 13 June, 12 September and 7 November 2026. Anyone wishing to take part should meet at Auckley Parish Centre for 10.00 a.m. Refreshments will be provided.
Improvements at Hayfield Park
The installation of new playground equipment for children along with safety fencing is now complete. Arrangements are being made for the paths to be re-surfaced to complete the work funded from a previous Section 106 Agreement from City of Doncaster Council. We hope that you enjoy the new facilities and take care of them.
PCSO Drop-In Sessions at Auckley Parish Centre- Have Your Say
The local PCSOs have arranged to attend the coffee morning that takes place at the Parish Centre on Friday mornings between 10.00 and 11.30am on the following dates, to enable residents to raise any concerns relating to police matters: 26 June and 24 July 2026.

The local PCSOs have arranged to attend the coffee morning that takes place at the Parish Centre on Friday mornings between 10.00 and 11.30am on the following dates, to enable residents to raise any concerns relating to police matters: 13 March, 17 April, 22 May and 26 June 2026.
Update on Proposed New Housing Developments in and around Auckley
A decision on the application for the 34 houses off Hurst Lane adjacent to Broad Lane is still awaited.
At the time of writing no appeal has been lodged in respect of the refusal of the application for the development off Mosham Road.
A presentation was provided by Albemarle Homes at a special parish council meeting relating to their proposal for possible development of the former Hanson’s quarry site. Details of any public consultation will be made available when known.
No Golf on Parish Council Land
Residents are reminded that golf should not be played on parish council land including the parks.
Encroachment on Parish Council Land
Residents are reminded that encroachment on to Parish Council land will not be tolerated and legal proceedings may be issued if required. Parish Council land is provided for the benefit and enjoyment of all parishioners.
Doncaster Sheffield Airport Consultative Committee- New Website and Invitation for agenda items
www.flydsa.com The new airport website is now operational and contains information about the airport and its management including details of the meetings held by the Airport Consultative Committee. Residents are invited to submit any agenda items that you would like discussed by the ACC to the Clerk who will forward on for inclusion.
Councillor Dobson Attends a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace
On Tuesday the 12th of May, Councillor Dobson was invited and attended a Royal Garden Party. Councillor Dobson was nominated as a representative Parish Councillor in recognition of her ongoing commitment to serving the local community and representing them at many levels.
