PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of Gate House Lane at Auckley in the City of Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.

Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst carriageway widening, traffic signal, signage and light adjustments along with new highway drainage installation works are undertaken.

NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via Mosham Road, Hurst Lane, Hayfield Lane, Hayfield Lane Roundabout and vice versa.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 30th day of September 2026 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said road have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within the stated time the Order may be continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.

Location

Gatehouse Lane, Auckley from its junction with Mosham Road in a Southerly direction for a distance of 120 meters.

Dates and Times

On or after 00:01hrs 16th March 2026 until 23:59hrs 24th August 2026.

In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although all closures to be completed by the 30th September 2026.
